Shipping policy

    Last updated: 30/11/25

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how and when your order will be delivered.

It should be read alongside our Terms of Service and Refund & Returns Policy.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

    1. Delivery Overview

    1.1 Delivery Method

We use trusted third-party courier and specialist furniture delivery partners for all deliveries.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email.

The courier will contact you directly to arrange a delivery date and time slot.

Delivery requires customer availability to accept the goods.

    2.1 Total Estimated Delivery Time

Our furniture is made to order. The maximum estimated timeframe, including production and delivery, is:

Up to 22 weeks from order confirmation (when payment is received and specifications are agreed).

Production and delivery are typically completed within approximately 15–16 weeks.

However, we provide the extended 22-week timeframe to account for production variability, supplier lead times, quality control, and delivery scheduling.

Earlier delivery is not guaranteed, and the 22-week estimate should be relied upon when placing your order.

Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. If delivery is delayed beyond a reasonable period, you may have statutory rights to cancel.

    2.2 Production Time

Production time typically ranges from 2 to 8 weeks, depending on:

    • Product type
    • Level of customisation
    • Quantity ordered

Production times form part of the overall 22-week estimate.

2.3 Festive and Peak Period Delays

During festive periods, public holidays, or peak production times, delays may occur due to:

    • Increased order volumes
    • Supplier closures
    • Courier capacity limitations

We will communicate any material delays as soon as reasonably possible.

    3. Shipping Charges

    3.1 Free UK Shipping

Free standard delivery is available for eligible UK mainland areas.

    Exclusions apply (see Section 4).

    3.2 International Shipping

DWLR Furniture does not currently offer international shipping as standard.

If international delivery is requested, this will:

    • Be subject to availability
    • Require prior confirmation
    • Be quoted separately

Please contact sales@dwlr.co.uk before placing an order for international delivery enquiries.

    4. Delivery Restrictions

We do not currently deliver to:

    • Northern Ireland
    • Republic of Ireland
    • Isle of Wight
    • Scottish Highlands & Islands
    • Isles of Scilly

These restrictions are displayed prior to checkout where applicable.

    5. Failed Deliveries & Redelivery Fees

If a delivery attempt fails due to:

    • Customer unavailability
    • Inaccessible premises
    • Incorrect delivery information provided

A redelivery fee may apply, reflecting the reasonable costs incurred, currently:

    • £99 for weekday redelivery
    • £110 for Saturday redelivery

Redelivery fees reflect our actual logistics and handling costs and are not intended to be punitive.

    6. Access Requirements

    6.1 Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

    • Furniture will fit through doorways, hallways, staircases, and lifts
    • The delivery route is clear and safe

Please measure carefully before placing your order.

    6.2 Health & Safety

Delivery may be refused if conditions present a health or safety risk to delivery personnel.

    7. Delivery Scope & Assembly

    7.1 Delivery Scope

    Delivery includes:

    • Ground-floor delivery only

    Delivery does not include:

    • Assembly
    • Unpacking
    • Moving items to upper floors

    8. Inspection on Delivery

We recommend that customers inspect goods upon delivery where reasonably possible.

Signing for delivery does not affect your statutory rights if goods are later found to be faulty, damaged, or not as described.

For information on returns, refunds, and remedies, please refer to our Refund & Returns Policy.

    9. Custom-Made & Bespoke Products (Delivery Context)

    9.1 Definitions

    • Custom-made products: Items made to order where customers select fabrics, colours, finishes, or dimensions.
    • Bespoke products: Items designed and manufactured entirely to a customer’s individual specifications.

    9.2 Production & Delivery

Custom-made and bespoke products enter production following specification approval.

    Once production has commenced:

    • Orders cannot be cancelled or amended, except where required by law.

This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, not as described, or not made to the agreed specification.

    10. Delays Beyond Our Control

Delivery may be delayed due to events outside our reasonable control, including:

    • Severe weather
    • Supply chain disruption
    • Courier operational issues
    • Force majeure events

We will keep customers informed where such delays occur.

    11. Pricing Errors

In the rare event of a pricing or delivery charge error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund within 14 days.
